Dimensioning and Lifetime Prediction Model for a Hybrid, Hydrogen-Based Household PV Energy System Using Matlab/Simulink

This paper presents a model of an energy system for private household extended by lifetime prognosis. The was designed fully covering the year-round demand on basis electricity generated photovoltaic (PV) system, using hybrid storage consisting hydrogen unit and lithium-ion battery. Hydrogen is produced with Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolyser PV surplus during summer months then stored in tank. Mainly winter, terms lack energy, converted back into heat fuel cell. created Matlab/Simulink based real input data. Heat also taken account covered pump. simulation period full year to seasonality production demand. Due high initial costs, longevity such vital interest. Therefore, this prediction order optimize dimensioning aim extension hydrogen-based system. Lifetime influencing factors were identified literature review integrated model.
